Shower Parts

Shower parts are important pieces of equipment that help to make showering enjoyable. The shower head is a popular component, but it’s not the only one you need. Depending on your preferences and how many people will be using the shower, there are several other components that may need replacing over time. As an example, if you have a single-head shower unit with no diverter valve or anti-scald device, then you may want to consider adding these features for safety reasons. For those who like their showers hot and steamy, we recommend upgrading from a standard flow restrictor to a pressure regulator valve in order to avoid scalding water when someone flushes the toilet!

Here are the some of the sower parts:

Shower Head

The showerhead is the most visible part of your bathroom. It releases a steady stream of water and can be made from different materials, such as chrome, brass or copper. The small holes in the showerheads distribute it evenly while allowing you to change its speed and strength by altering the flow. You will often find that some models come with an adjustable knob so that you have more control over how much pressure there is coming out – this helps promote circulation for better hair washing!

Shower Valve

The shower valve is the component that controls water flow from your spout or handheld sprayer. They also control how hot the water in your bath gets, but modern valves make it so you can enjoy a relaxing soak without having to deal with sudden temperature changes and fluctuations of pressure. Shower valves are normally located behind walls, but there are two types: one for manual showers (most common) and another designed specifically for power showers which automatically shuts off when not being used- making sure no energy goes wasted!

Shower Pan

There are many different types of shower pans, and they all have their own advantages. Some showers even allow you to choose the material for your pan! You will usually find that stainless steel or fiberglass is more resistant with less chance of leaks than other materials such as vinyl. However, removable aluminum can be good if you want a cheap option; these pans often come in kits so it’s really easy to install them yourself without any plumbing skills needed at all!

A variety of material choices exist when looking for a new shower pan – one which matches your needs best should be considered before purchase consideration. Some people prefer an easier installation process (with no need for installing pipes) because they don’t know how to do this themselves.

Water Supply Pipe

The shower is made up of two piping systems: a pressurized water supply pipe system that carries cold and hot water for bathing, as well as the drainpipe system which pulls dirty waste down into the drainage to remove it. In order for this process to happen correctly, there needs to be an overflow pipe on top of your bathtub or sink so when you turn either one off, any excess flow can go back out instead of backing up in your plumbing.

Shower Strainer

The one you might not have heard about is the strainer. This part has a crucial job: to get rid of any wastewater in your bath or shower! For new homes made with PVC plastic, this function falls on drain pipes and strainers. Older houses may still use galvanized steel for their drains instead; however they will also need a metal mesh insert that fits into it called the “strainer basket”.
